Layout and Character Design Story Sketch Project 4 of 6. Called for six near-layout quality "story sketches" (storyboards, basically) from a sequence in our story. My story is futuristic/pirate in that it is set in future Savannah where all is built upon the ruins of the cities and air pirates run amok.

In this sequence, Syn is getting a beverage from the vending machine built into the mast and looking out to starboard side and spots a lost Georgian island floating in the sky.

Due to a file crash while working on an animation, I had to crank all these out in less than three days. Since environments are NOT my specialty this was a challenge, and these are far from perfect.


This drawing, for one, needs more contrast.
